Manitharul Manikkam

It means 'Gems among humans'. Whom do we recognize? Whom do we remember? Men born and die from nowhere. Its so huge that you dont remember even most of your own ancestors. What makes us to remember people like Christ or Mohammed. Is it because we were told they were reflections of God? Its that since they didn't live their lives for them.
We get a whole big chunk of time called the 'life'. What we make out of it matters what we call living one's life. It starts unknown to you and ends unknown to you. In this uncertainity you get to know this big world where you live, establish yourself, earn a living for you and your dependents and still enjoy. We are kept so busy that we forget most of the people who come across us.
Even in this selfish game called life when there are people who think about fellow humans, who spend their time thinking about their well being and who give their lives for them, we call them the 'Gems among human'. When God sent his Son, Christ as a human, it meant that he wanted to show us how we can surpass all the hurdles in one's life and still love thy neighbors. Muhammad could have lived a sophisticated living with all his intelligence and Gyan. He braved all odds of his time to teach his fellow-beings about life. He longed for their well being for years. Why should these people spend their time thinking about others and not about them? That is what that make them the Gems! When we drown ourselves with our self-imposed worries about life, we yearn for a light that can lead us to the shore. We get these lights from these great people but never know who burns himself to show us the shore!!! Thats the selfish human mind, which cares only for itself and nothing else.
Here is the craziest generation with people who have all the sophisticated devices and provisions to eradicate all the worries and sufferings of fellow humans, but still will never ever think of doing it. They talk about crusades, Jihads and Kurushetras but never think about a battle against hunger and disease. One part of the world is over-fed with supplies and the other part has lives passing away just like whithering grass from hunger and disease. You see your brethern in torn clothes in this freezing winter and the funniest thing is that most of us have no feeling out of it. Some have little feelings and search for outlets like blogs to just say that 'I feel for him' and do nothing. (Yes you got it right, I talk about me). If not I think of 'manitharul manikkam', why dont I think about being a human first? Tell me.
